Sarah-Helena Van den Brande is a PhD Fellow of the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO). After obtaining her MA in Classics (Greek and Latin Linguistics and Literature, summa cum laude), she worked as a research assistant on late Byzantine manuscripts at the Database of Byzantine Book Epigrams.
A member of Ghent University’s Literary Theory and Greek sections, she currently studies causality and practices of intersubjective understanding in a corpus of ancient Greek tragedies that deal with male νόσος or ‘sickness’. Her main research interests are Greek drama, narrative theory and philosophy of mind.
