My research primarily focuses on Buddhist manuscripts from Dunhuang, with a special emphasis on the study of Buddhist Vinaya texts, particularly those that were not included in the Taishō Tripiṭaka. I am especially interested in the transmission and evolution of these Vinaya manuscripts during the process of copying and circulation, and their role in the monastic discipline systems of both Indian and Chinese Buddhism. Through my research, I aim to gain a deeper understanding of how Buddhism spread and developed in the Dunhuang region and explore how Buddhist disciplinary practices interacted with local culture.
