I am currently working as a PhD student at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University. Since October 2014 I hold a PhD fellowship with the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO) for a period of four years. My current research focuses on linguistic norm-adherence in audiovisual translation. More specifically, I am investigating lexical and syntactic variation in interlingual and intralingual Belgian Dutch subtitling.
