I am working at UGent as a PhD researcher in computational linguistics and dialectology, with a focus on parsing microvariation of Spanish spoken in Spain and collaborative game-based approach to building the parsed corpus of European Spanish dialects. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, where I obtained my Bachelor degree on English and Spanish in 2012. I worked in computational and corpus linguistics research line at Instituto Caro y Cuervo (ICC), where I emphasized my research on spatial databases and GIS applied to linguistics. I obtained a master degree on linguistics in 2019, while leading a multidisciplinary team for the digitization of the Atlas Lingüístico-Etnográfico de Colombia (ALEC) materials. My master's thesis was about dialectometric analysis of the Panamanian and Colombian Spanish varieties.
