Aline Guaus holds an MA in interpreting in Dutch, French and Spanish. In March 2020 she started as a research assistant for the AMICA-project at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication.
The project she is working on aims to support applicants for international protection upon arrival by mapping their communication needs and by developing a more adapted multilingual information service. AMICA focuses specifically on applicants with a vulnerable linguistic profile.
The social relevance of the project and the multicultural aspect motivated Aline to join the team for the next 2 years.
