Giuliano Castagna is documenting modern Arabic inscriptions in the AlUla Inscriptions Corpus Analysis (AICAP) project.
Other than his current assignment, his interests span the epigraphy of Dhofar, with a focus on the Dhofari inscriptions, and the documentation and description of the Modern South Arabian languages spoken in Oman and Yemen, with a focus on the Jibbali/śḥerét language.
