Luna De Bruyne is a postdoctoral researcher at the Language and Translation Technology Team (LT³) of Ghent University. She obtained her PhD on the topic of Dutch emotion detection ("Feeling EmotioNL: Automatically detecting emotions in Dutch texts") in 2022. Her expertise lies in natural language processing, with a special interest in sentiment analysis, emotion detection and multilinguality. Currently, she investigates how emotion verbalisation differs across languages, and how emotion detection models deal with those differences. Luna gives support for the course Digital Communication Management and teaches Localisation in the postgraduate Computer-Assisted Language Mediation.
