Margot Van den Heede obtained a Master of Arts in French and German Linguistics and Literary Studies (2016), the Degree of Teacher (2017) and an advanced Master of Arts in Multilingual Business Communication (2019) at Ghent University. In 2017-2018, she worked several months as a researcher at the University of Antwerp (at the Institute for Professional and Academic Communication), where she was responsible for the execution of a cross-cultural project about politeness strategies used in Dutch and French tourist offices.
In October 2019, she started her PhD at Ghent University. Her research, which is part of the interdisciplinary Language Productivity @ Work project, focuses on constructions reinforcing sentence negation in Dutch and French. As intensifiers, these constructions belong to one of the richest sources of language creativity.
