Piril is is a PhD candidate in Greek literature. She holds a Master’s degree in Byzantine History from Bogazici University. Her research focuses on Byzantine history writing of eleventh and twelfth centuries. She is currently working on exploring the narrative construction of spaces, places and landscapes of historial narratives with analytical tools and concepts derived from narratology, ecocriticism and memory studies.
