In 2018, I obtained my Master of Arts in Linguistics (Dutch - English) at the university of Ghent. I then worked for two years as a high school teacher, combining it with obtaining an educational master's degree. After completing this teacher training, I joined the Linguistics department (section Language and Communication) at UGent as an assistant, both teaching and commencing my 6-year PhD. My research interests are (at this point) focused on science education, science didactics, participative processes, citizen science and democratization of science.
