I am a voluntary postdoctoral researcher at UGhent and a developer of professional training programmes at the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators.
I hold an MSc in Digital Humanities from KU Leuven and a PhD in History from Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2025, I was an intern at the Royal Library of Belgium’s Digital Research Lab, contributing to The Navez Project by developing named entity recognition (NER) pipelines for the nineteenth-century French correspondence of Belgium’s eminent artist François-Joseph Navez. In 2017-2018, I held a visiting fellowship at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, where I built on my prior doctoral research into representations of Byzantium in Old French fiction and the history of the crusades. My current interest lies in the application of digital methods to the analysis of cultural stereotypes within the same context.
