Caroline Staquet has worked on her research project on language ideologies in scientific discourses on Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) at Ghent University since mid-October 2019 (funding: PhD scholarship from the Special Fund of Research, Ghent University). She initiated the project at UCLouvain (funding: one-year scholarship from the Special Fund of Research of UCLouvain, 2017-18).
She was a visiting scholar at the Institute for Multilingualism at the University of Fribourg (Feb 2023-June 2023). She is an associated researcher at the Institute for Multilingualism, Fribourg.
Previously, she worked as a teacher of French as a foreign language in night schools in Flanders and Brussels, as a language assistant at KULeuven, and as a sub-editor of business magazines in a media company.
She holds a master’s degree in translation (English/Italian into French, Institut libre Marie Haps, Brussels, 2002), a postgraduate degree in European studies (Université libre de Bruxelles, 2003), a teaching degree (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 2015), and a master’s degree in French and Romance languages and literatures (Université libre de Bruxelles, 2016).
