Postdoctoral research coordinator of the Henri Pirenne Institute for Medieval Studies since January 1st 2017. I am occupied with five central tasks for all UGent staff working on the Middle Ages:

Facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, cross-cutting disciplines, departments and faculties
Raising research funding by monitoring opportunities and helping to write project applications, mainly funding bodies external to UGent
Internationalisation of Ghent research on the Middle Ages. Both in terms of visibility and presence networks as well as composition of research teams proper
Maintaining and improving digital research infrastructure
Strengthening the creation of societal impact and added value of basic research results
