When I was a child I had a lot of good purposes: I wanted to teach Art History, to start singing Opera and to be elected Pope. At the end, I studied Classical Philology at the University of Bologna. There I got a Master degree in March 2013 with a dissertation on Hellenistic Historiography. Since November 2013 I have been working as a PhD student between Ghent University and the University of Groningen, under the guidance of Prof. Peter Van Nuffelen and Prof. Jan Willem Drijvers. I am currently editing the fragments of late antique antiquarian authors (both in Greek and Latin). The project I am working on, "The cultural meaning of antiquarianism in Late Antiquity", studies the role and the features of Antiquarianism between the second half of the third century AD and the first half of the sixth. In the last two years, I have been collaborating also with another project leaded by Prof. Van Nuffelen: "Memory of empire: the post-imperial historiography of late Antiquity". I participated to the redaction of its historical database.
