My current teaching load includes Classical Arabic III ("the Case of the Animals" by the Ikhwân s-Safâ), Arabic Literary Texts I and II, and parts of Culture in Perspective: the Near East and the Islamic World (topic: Jesus and Mary in the Qur'an), Cultural History of the Orient (topics: the Ka'ba; the Translation movement) and Oriental Literatures: the Near East and the Islamic World(topic: pre-Islamic poetry).
