Ewoud Goethals is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University. He is involved in the ‘Translators on the map’ project, which examines the paratextual self-representation of literary translators from French in the Low Countries (1990–2020). Previously, as part of the BELTRANS project by KU Leuven, UCLouvain and the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR) he wrote a PhD thesis on intra-Belgian translations of novels and children’s literature (1970–2020). His research interests include literature and literary translation in Belgium, translator studies and the sociology of translation. He is also an editor for the literary periodicals Poëziekrant and Flemish Review de la Poëzie.
