Martijn Collijs is a half-time teaching assistant and half-time PhD researcher at Ghent University with a focus on socioeconomic history. He obtained his BA (2020) and MA in History (2021) at Ghent University, where his master’s thesis examined the impact of pharmaceutical industrialization on Belgian pharmacists in the 1960s. Since 2022, he has been working on a PhD project on residential and segregation patterns in Ghent between 1670 and 1850. As a teaching assistant, he contributes to courses on statistics, digital methods, and historical practice.
