Abstract

This doctoral research studies the relationship between heritage and history education in Flanders. The aim is to develop a theoretical and pedagogical framework related to the use of heritage in secondary schools in general, and in history education in particular. The researcher works part-time as a history teacher in secondary education and is also part-time affiliated with the History Department and the Educational Master of Teaching in Arts and Humanities of Ghent University.
