Abstract

This project aims at investigating the multilingual practices in Italian L2 classrooms in two urban areas of Belgium: the French-speaking city of Liège and the Dutch-speaking city of Ghent. The study focuses on the teacher's talk, and on the functions of Code Switching – as (un)intentional technique adopted in interactions – which could also reveal a cultural hybridization and a multicultural identity of the teacher.
