I hold an MA in Dutch Linguistics and Literature, and I started my PhD in Translation Studies in November 2014 at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University, Belgium. My research interests include semantic differences between translated and non-translated language and the interaction of social and cognitive factors during the translation process. My research is corpus-based and adopts a usage-based perspective. I’m currently involved in teaching courses on text analysis and written proficiency.
