Yannice De Bruyn participates in the ITEMP-project as a PhD-student. She is affiliated with the Departments of Literature of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Ghent (joint-PhD). In 2013 Yannice obtained her master’s degree in art history at the University of Ghent. Her PhD thesis offered an exegetic reading of an early sixteenth-century portrait by Quentin Massys. Yannice’s heterogeneous study path anticipated the interdisciplinary approach that characterises the ITEMP-project. After a short expedition as a student in Literature, she changed her major to Art History, obtaining her B.A. in Theatre Studies and her M.A. with a focus on Visual Arts. She started her PhD in 2015 on a FWO scholarship running until 2019.
