Jens De Vleminck (MA Phil, MSc Sexol, PhD) is a BOF Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences (Ghent University, Belgium). He works in philosophical anthropology with a particular interest in (the history of) psychiatry and psychoanalysis and in the early work of Michel Foucault (and its relation to French historical epistemology). He is an associated member of the Husserl Archives (KU Leuven) and the Center for Contemporary European Philosophy (RU Nijmegen). He is the author of De schaduw van Kaïn(Leuven University Press, 2013) and Het leven met een sofist (with Gertrudis Van de Vijver; AcademiaPress/LannooCampus 2014, 2016). He is the co-editor of Sexuality and Psychoanalysis (with Eran Dorfman; Leuven University Press, 2010) and Freud als filosoof (with Philippe Van Haute; Pelckmans, 2013, 2014).
