Lore Vandevoorde is a postdoctoral research assistant at the department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication of Ghent University (Dutch section). She is a member of the research unit EQTIS (Empirical and Quantitative Investigations in Translation and Interpreting Studies) and editor of the multilingual website of Target, International Journal of Translation Studies. She obtained her PhD degree in Translation Studies from Ghent University in 2016 with a corpus-based, multivariate study which focused on methodological solutions to reveal semantic differences between translated and non-translated texts. Her research interests include corpus-based translation studies, semantics, bilingualism and translation cognition.
