I am a postdoctoral researcher working on language and health, and more specifically on discourses of the body, pain and health. I am a (socio)linguist, but I also feel a strong affinity with health sociology and communication studiesh. I work with discourse analytic and interactional methods, pragmatics, and corpus linguistics.
In 2018, I defended my PhD on the production of health news. Based on linguistic ethnographic data, I examined how different stakeholders produce and entextualise relevant health discourses, how scientific and journalistic practices interact, and how the concepts and definitions of health, illness and media production underlie these processes.
