Rozemarijn Vervoort is a PhD-student at Ghent University as part of the research project Language Politics and Cultural Memory in Scandinavian Literature and Film. In her thesis she will investigate how the trauma of acculturation and language policies for national minorities in the Scandinavian countries resonates in contemporary literature. Before starting her doctoral research in Ghent, she obtained a BA in Scandinavian Studies and an MA in Literary Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
