Biography
Leah Budke is a doctoral research fellow with the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) at Ghent University in Belgium. Her current project is titled “Markers and Makers of Tradition: The Serially Published Modernist ‘Little’ Anthology (1912-1930)” and researches the modernist poetry anthology in relation to the modernist magazine to shed new light on the formation of a modernist tradition.
Her research interests include fin-de-siècle and modernist poetry, editorial practices, periodicals, and print culture. She has published in the international peer-reviewed journal English Literature in Transition, 1880-1920 on the continuation of female aestheticism in the modernist poetry anthology Wheels.
Alongside her current research project, she serves as the “What are you reading” editor for DiGeSt: Journal of Diversity and Gender Studies. She is also a member of the Digital Humanities Research Lab.
