I´m an assistant in the Spanish section of the Department of Literary Studies where I teach courses on Latin American literature and culture. I studied in Germany and Argentina, and hold a Master´s degree in the field of Inter-American studies. Before coming to Ghent, I had a special interest in Paraguayan history and culture as well as socio-environmental conflicts in Latin America. My current research interests include multiple ontologies and the notion of the pluriverse, human-nonhuman relations, political ecology, communitarian feminism and decolonial practices. In my PhD project, I explore, from a critical gender perspective, the extractive paradigm and forms of contestation in a selection of literary texts from Peru and Colombia. I´m also interested in environmental pedagogies and feel deeply embedded in the forests and mountains of Bavaria.
