Since 01 October 2019, I am PhD student on the project "Greetings from the past. On the use of interjections in foreign language textbooks from early modern Flanders" (2019-2023). My research focus is early modern Dutch nominal forms of address in conversation manuals.
From 2010 to 2016 I studied history, Dutch linguistics and literature as well as general linguistics. I completed my studies in 2016 by graduating as Master of Arts in general linguistics at the University of Cologne. From 2017 to 2019, I worked within the EUR.Friends project at Hasselt University. There, I worked on (linguistical) cultural differences in the border region of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. I also taught German in course “German 3” at the Faculty of Business Economics.
