I am a research assistant working with prof. Jóhanna Bardðal at the Linguistics Department at Ghent University. My main research interests include historical syntax of the Germanic languages, language variation and change and contact linguistics.
Biography
I obtained my master's degree in Historical Linguistics and Literature from Ghent University in 2025. The topic of my dissertation was on contact-induced word order change in Old Swedish and Middle Low German. Throughout my studies, I mainly focused on the history, grammar and syntax of Swedish and (Low) German, but with a broader interest in the historical Germanic languages and Indo-European language family more generally.
Academic Service
From 2018-2022, I served as a student-member on the Arts and Philosophy Faculty Council at Ghent University. From 2022-2024, I continued my engagement as a student representative as a member of the Executive Board.
