Célia Vamiller is a PhD researcher at Ghent University under the supervision of Thomas Franck (Ghent University) and Nicolas Ruytenbeek (KU Leuven), investigating "The Sustainability Paradox of AI: A Comparative Discourse Analysis of the Sovereignty-Energy Futurology in French and English Newspapers" (2026–2030).
Holding a Master’s in English Linguistics from the Université de Lille and a Bachelor’s in English Studies from the Université d'Orléans, her research interests lie in pragmatics and discourse analysis in both English and French, with a particular focus on the role of the implicit and emotion in shaping public opinion and representation. Alongside her doctoral work, she continues to conduct collaborative research on implicit offensive language, specifically microaggressions with Ilse Depraetere (Université de Lille) and Nicolas Ruytenbeek (KU Leuven).
