Eline Daveloose is a PhD researcher at the department of Linguistics, at Ghent University. For her PhD research (supervisor: prof. dr. Giovanbattista Galdi) she analyses the Turkish influence on the critically endangered Cappadocian Greek dialect, focusing on pattern replication from the Turkish language (i.e., the recreation of patterns, structures, constructions from Turkish by using Greek elements). Her research revolves around three case studies: 1) the use of the additive particle ke as a topic shift marker; 2) concessive conditionals; and 3) the relative clause.
