Ellen Soens is a PhD candidate at Ghent University, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and a Master’s degree in Business Communication (KU Leuven). After graduating, she worked at KU Leuven as program coordinator for the master in Business Communication for one year. Since September 2020, she is conducting research on employees’ work-related social media use at the Research Centre for Multilingual Practices and Language Learning in Society (MULTIPLES) of Ghent University. Her research interests include strategic communication, crisis communication and employee social media use.
