Estel van den Berg is a doctoral researcher at Ghent University, specialising in early modern Dutch theatre. She is part of the research project 'Displays of desire', which focuses on the representation of consumption and desire in early modern Dutch comedies between 1650 and 1725. She is a member of the Huizinga institute for Cultural History and participates in research networks such as Thalia and GEMS.
