Born and raised in the south of Poland. In 1998, I graduated from the English Department of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. My Master's thesis analyzed the poetry of David Shapiro (b. 1947).
I have written several popular and post-conference articles about the New York School of Poetry including translations of the poems.
I have been living in Belgium since September 2010. Currently, I am writing a dissertation devoted to the poetics of David Shapiro. I am focussing on the role of the speaker in his poetry in relation to his similes, the musicality of his poems, and the dramatic dimension of certain poems he has written.
I have taught English and Polish at university level as well as to war refugees. I adore Baroque (metaphysical) poetry. I am also keen on various phonetic systems of the languages I speak, or would like to speak, and language sounds in general. My life motto is "to understand."
