Lei Decappelle (He/Him) has been working on his PhD at Ghent University since October 2023. He is affiliated with the Bioethics Institute Ghent (BIG). His research attempts to provide insight into the moral structures and negotiations underlying new families built on the principle of elective co-parenting (also known as 'intentional co-parenting', 'platonic parenting', 'parental partnerships' or ‘PACT’). In the context of this project, Lei takes on both empirical (through observations and interviews) and normative questions.
He is also involved in a course on statistics: ‘SPSS data management’, and a course in the research master: 'Empirical Ethics'.
