Lennert Lapeere (°1999) studied archaeology at Ghent University. After his studies, he worked as a researcher for the 'Bruges 1441' project and as a building historian at an architectural firm. In 2022 he started his doctoral research focussing on the suburbs of Late Medieval Ypres (County of Flanders). In this project, he studies the urban fabric and daily life of a medieval suburb using archaeological, cartographic and historical data.
