Nausica Marcos Miguel is an applied linguist who focuses on second language research with the goal of facilitating language learning, in particular, instructional practices and learning processes relative to learning morphology and vocabulary in general Spanish language classrooms, and in Spanish for Specific Purposes classrooms.
She completed her undergraduate studies in German Philology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and her doctoral studies in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh. Before starting the position at UGent, she was an associate professor of Spanish at Denison University.
