The Grundriss der Geschichte der Philosophie (outline of the history of philosophy) is a standard work in the history of philosophy, founded by Friedrich Ueberweg and published in numerous editions since 1863. Since 1983, a complete revision has been appearing, projected to comprise over forty volumes and intended, among other aims, to dismantle the Eurocentric architecture of the original project. The series is also to be made available in the future in English and in digital format. Together with Raji Steineck (Zürich), and Raquel Buoso (Madrid), Uhl has been appointed as a co-editor of the projected section, Philosophy in East Asia, Sub-Section Japan.
