This ongoing interdisciplinary project aims at studying the impact of long-term and short-term (abrupt, short climatic events) climatic changes during the Late Glacial and Early Holocene in the Scheldt basin of NW Belgium. The project combines high-resolution multiproxy palaeoecological analyses with detailed archaeological studies, focussing on lithic technology, raw material circulation, micro-wear, spatial distribution, .... and high-resolution radiocarbon dating.
