The main objective of the Validiv project is to valorise existing linguistic diversity and the linguistic repertoires of pupils (e.g., English, French, immigrant languages) within educational processes in primary education in Flanders. The sub-project in the Linguistics Department concentrates on the multilingual interactional dynamics in classrooms and its potential leverage for learning, with fieldwork conducted in Ghent and Brussels.
