Vanessa De Wilde is an assistant professor of English at Ghent University. She has taught courses in second language teaching methodology, translation and English language proficiency. She is involved in the guidance and coaching of student teachers and works on course development. She received a PhD in linguistics from Ghent University. Her research interests are second language development (in young learners) and second language teaching.
