Anne-Sophie Rouckhout obtained her BA (2015) and MA (2016) in Greek and Latin Linguistics and Literature, her teacher's degree (2017) and her MA in Historical Linguistics and Literature (2018) at Ghent University.

In 2018, she joined the Database of Byzantine Book Epigrams (DBBE) project as a researcher. DBBE is an ongoing project at Ghent University which makes available both textual and contextual data of book epigrams - also known as “metrical paratexts” - from medieval Greek manuscripts dating up to the fifteenth century.

She has co-organised Speaking From the Margins. DBBE Online Lectures, a lecture series on the multifaceted genre of book epigrams, and the international conference Paratexts in Premodern Writing Cultures (24-26 June 2024).

Eye catching initiatives we organized or took part in include the Dag van het Grieks (May 2018), Oorlog: Terreur van alle tijden (March 2019; in the context of the Festival européen latin grec) and Doorprik de mythe! Onderzoeksfestival voor scholen (March 2021). We also offer workshops and information for schools.
