Abstract

Gender and sex differences in human communication are well-documented, but the scientific knowledge on the impact of such differences on interpreting is limited. This project aims at verifying whether claims held for spontaneous oral language production also hold for the cognitively more challenging task of simultaneous interpreting. The research is based on data drawn from an interpreting corpus developed at Ghent University.
