HISSTER aims to generate and develop a central database of historical statistics concerning Belgian mortality available at the local level since 1830. While the 20th century was the main focus of the first stage of development of the database, stage 2 is primarily concerned with the 19th century statistics.
HISSTER beoogt de ontwikkeling van een gegevensbank voor historische statistieken met betrekking tot sterfte in België die beschikbaar zijn tot op het niveau van de gemeenten sinds 1830. Terwijl fase 1 van de ontwikkeling hoofdzakelijk betrekking had op de 20ste eeuw, richt fase 2 zich op de 19de-eeuwse statistieken.
