The objective of this project is to deepen the understanding of the dynamics of diplomatic writing practices between the 12th and 14th centuries, using the example of an episcopal chancery geographically located at the centre of a network of political and religious influences: the principality of Liège. The methodological approaches intersect traditional palaeography and diplomatics, the contextual history of documentary writing practices and charter production, and digital techniques (text comparison techniques, stylometry, etc.).
