Alessio Verdone is a PhD Student in Visual and Media Studies at IULM University in Milan and in Literary Studies at Universiteit Gent. His research interests are mainly in the field of Italian Contemporary Poetry. He has focused on the study of the poetic self in Edoardo Sanguineti’s poetry and on a reinterpretation of D’Annunzio’s impact on Italian poetry through the analysis of the existing literature. His current research concerns the relation between visuality and verbality in Italian Contemporary poetry, taking as main point of view the technique of ekphrasis.
Alessio Verdone è dottorando di ricerca presso l’Università IULM (Milano) e l’Universiteit Gent (Belgio). Il suo principale interesse di ricerca riguarda il rapporto tra immagine e parola nella letteratura italiana contemporanea.
