After finishing my PhD at NUI Maynooth (Ireland) on the representations of Medea and Circe in ancient Greek poetry, I went on to work as lecturer in Classics at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UK) and and senior lecturer in Classics at Swansea University (UK).
I am currently working as 'Language Lector of Ancient Greek Literature' in the Section Greek, as well as Research Coordinator for the Novel Echoes project at UGent. I coordinate the Ancient Greeks - Young Heroes schools outreach project, through which students teach Greek at local primaries, as well as other public engagement activities.
My current research focuses on inclusivity of the field of Classics, with a particular emphasis on pedagogy and gender.

Together with colleagues, I run the Greek Outreach Team of the Greek section at Ghent University. We develop support for school pupils and teachers with regard to the learning and teaching of Greek, particularly in the shape of events and teaching materials.
I also coordinate the Oude Grieken - Jonge Helden outreach project, which brings ancient Greek to primary schools.
