Loic De Langhe is a senior researcher and postdoctoral assistant in the Language and Translation Technology Team (LT3) at Ghent University’s Faculty of Arts and Philosophy. His research focuses on computational linguistics and natural language processing, with particular expertise in event coreference resolution, discourse processing, and Dutch-language NLP. He completed his PhD, Demystifying Discourse in Dutch: A Study on Event Coreference Resolution, in 2024 and has contributed extensively to the development of datasets, benchmarks, and machine-learning methods for understanding complex linguistic phenomena. His recent work also explores topics such as sentiment analysis, multimodal language technologies, authorship attribution, and large language models.
