While academic vocabulary is a well-explored area in English, the same cannot be said for Spanish. Recognizing the need for exchange students in Social Sciences to master this vocabulary, we will embark on creating a frequency list of academic vocabulary in Spanish, grounded in corpus linguistics. This initiative aims to develop a test to assess the recognition of academic verbs, including an eye-tracking experiment to evaluate cognitive load during the processing of these words.
