Sara Vicente Balenciaga holds a BA in Hispanic Philology (2016), a MA in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (2017) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Proofreading and Linguistic Advice (2018). Over the last few years she has been working as a Spanish Lecturer at York University (Toronto, Canada), as a Spanish Teacher in the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism at the United Nations (Geneva, Switzerland), and as a Language Testing Specialist for the Instituto Cervantes and the United Nations. In September 2024 she joined the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Her PhD research focuses on polysemy and word families on Spanish vocabulary learning.
